Our Junior Division caters for young runners who are willing to improve their fitness and ability. From beginners through to those that wish to compete, we aim to support all members to achieve their goals.
We compete at interclub races and set a high standard in Club representation. Our Junior members, at all levels, are encouraged to compete at the interclub events and also the Wellington XC and Road Championship events. This gives them race experience where they are able to practice racing strategies.
Our Club prides itself in the high level of comradeship our young runners show towards each other and many great friendships have been made.
Our Junior division is coached by Darryl Robinson with the assistance of Michael Du Toit (Assistant Coach) and Randall Tyler (Junior Administration/Liaison).
Darryl has many years experience and provides advice on levels of fitness, race planning and preparation, nutrition and setting goals. He coaches the primary, intermediate and college runners through their school, inter-school, inter-provincial, through to National competitions.
The Trentham United Harrier Club Season for Juniors begins in April and finishes in September with Junior prize-giving.

Randall has been involved with the Trentham Harriers Club since he was 8 in 2006. As well as being Junior Liaison for Trentham Harriers, Randall is studying a Bachelor of Tourism Management at Victoria University.
He enjoys running with Trentham because of the great laughs and banter with all of the children and seniors of different ages. Randall says he finds that running helps as a release as when he's running nothing else in the world matters.
After over 10 years of just turning up to training's and races, Randall decided to help assist with the behind-the-scenes, and help give back for all the time that Darryl has given to him.
